OneFS is the core of Isilon’s scale-out storage platform. The most important part of OneFS is that it is abstracted from the physical hardware that makes up the clustered storage platform. That means the data assets to be stored can be written across the individual hardware components within the storage cluster with little regard to what those components are. This capability is what builds the core of the scale-out storage model.
