The most notable thing about the D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G DI-624 is its performance. With the latest firmware installed, it achieved an astounding 43 Mbps at 60 feet and even 5.5 Mbps at 160 feet. Such speeds, though close to those of our "Fastest" routers, require that the DI-624 be configured in static 108 mode, making it incompatible with standard 802.11g devices.
