Symantec Hosted Services White Paper Sample
Companies considering an implementation to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 are aware of the platform’s improvements in security, reliability and scalability. Many organizations, however, are put off by the fact that the migration is complex to implement and manage.
Microsoft Exchange 2007 is a messaging and collaborative software product that is part of the Microsoft Servers line of products. The platform is widely used by large enterprises that use Microsoft infrastructure solutions. Exchange’s major features include email, calendaring, contacts, support for mobile, web-based access to information and support for data storage.
Many companies making the move to Exchange Server 2007 are concerned about the data loss that occurs when data is continuously replicated during migration. If a primary-node failure occurs, the passive node comes online and queries the hub transport for missing mail. If the entire site fails, all of those email communications are lost.
